What is “The Traveling Sisters?”

The Traveling Sisters is a mobile bartending company.  We remodeled our 1987 Horse Trailer with the help of a few friends and our husbands to turn into a mobile bar! The Traveling Sisters officially launches in 2023! We provide full service bartending for any occasion such as weddings, birthday parties, backyard/local events, and baby showers. 

Do you supply the alcohol?

As of right now, NYS does not allow mobile bars to carry a liquor license. Even though we can’t directly purchase the alcohol, it’s still not a problem! Once you decide on a finalized menu our team will supply you with an itemized shopping list for alcohol.  The best part?  You can purchase it at any store you want and any unopened bottles can be returned! We can even call up the store of your choice, send the list along, and have it ready for you at pick-up!

What do you provide?

Well, on top of our beautiful, remodeled, vintage horse trailer turned mobile bar, we can also provide everything needed for your perfect event bar! Depending on what package you choose, our services include; drinkware, straws, napkins, ice, coolers, garnishes, homemade syrups, soda/juices, friendly experienced bartenders and personalized menu signage! Additional add-ons are available, as well. 

What kind of events do you work?

If you want two bartenders who love to have a good time while being extremely efficient in serving drinks, a vintage horse trailer turned mobile bar, a fun experience, and drinks, then we are there! Any event, you name it! Just pick your package depending on your event.

Can you host a cash bar?

No. Unfortunately, as we do not have a liquor license, we cannot collect money in exchange for alcoholic beverages.  Reach out if you are a nonprofit as we’re happy to walk you through your options!

Where are you located and will you travel?

We are centrally located in Northern New York (Croghan – Lewis County). Look up “Croghan Bologna” and you’ll become familiar with our town! However, we love to travel!  Travel within 50 miles of Croghan, NY (13327) is included in our packages.  After that, we charge $3/mile for each additional mile.

Can you serve coffee/tea/mocktails?

We do not offer hot coffee or hot tea service. However, we can provide a self-serve iced tea, water, and/or lemonade stand (see additional add-ons under “packages!”)  Is your event alcohol free? Let us create signature mocktails for your special occasion! These are a great option for dry brunch events and baby showers.

What is your payment and refund policy?

We require a $300 non-refundable deposit to book your event.  The final payment isn’t due until 2 weeks before your event date. If the event is canceled within one week of the event, 50% of the payment is refunded, not including the $300 booking fee. If the event is canceled within 72 hours of the event date, payments will not be refunded. If the event is changed within 72 hours of the event, the payment will be transferable, but an additional $300 booking deposit will be required for an alternative date. 

How far in advance do we need to book?

The earlier the better! Wedding season is the busiest season – many brides/grooms book 6 months to a year in advance as the warm weather in NNY is only for a few, short months! Always reach out just in case we have an open weekend or cancellation!

Are you insured and permitted?

We carry liquor liability and general liability insurance to cover our services. A copy of each insurance will be in our trailer at all times.
